My blog has been operating for 6 months now, and it occurred to me that you might like to know where I get some of my ideas. Below is my list of websites that post stimulating research and articles on CogSci.
1. CogBlog. Colby College. The CogBlog is created and maintained by research assistants working in the Memory and Language Lab and students enrolled in courses in cognitive psychology and memory at Colby College.
2. Topics in Cognitive Science. Topics in Cognitive Science (topiCS) features selections of scholarly papers dedicated to a joint topic across all subfields in cognitive science.
3. Cognitive Science Society Blog. The blog features entries primarily related to activities conducted by the Cognitive Science Society, so it is not a deep source of information about the discipline but offers details about upcoming conferences and discussion groups.
4. Mind Hacks - This blog offers insights into neuroscience and psychology news and research.
5. BPS Research Digest. A blog by the British Psychological Society, providing insights and summaries of the latest psychological research.
6. The Psych Report. - Features articles, interviews, and analyses on psychology and its various subfields compiled by students at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. The content focuses largely on their academic program but includes a smattering of more general topics.
7. Language Log. The Language Log blog focuses on linguistics and its related studies, which often touches upon cognitive science topics. Most of the bloggers are faculty at the University of Pennsylvania. It is very active and deep on content, but it’s weak on organization and formatting.
8. Talking Brains. This blog moderated by faculty at UC Irvine’s Center for Cognitive Neuroscience offers critical takes on topics at the intersection of language and the brain.
9. Cognitive Daily. Though it's no longer updated, the archives of Cognitive Daily contain a wealth of interesting articles about various cognitive science topics.
10. Aeon - Neuroscience. While Aeon covers a broad range of topics, their neuroscience section often delves deep into cognitive science issues.
